On April 20, the airline requested authorization from the Colombian Civil Aeronautics Authority to operate 10 new international and 17 domestic routes, according to the agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the international routes requested are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mexico: <\/strong>Bogot\u00e1-Guadalajara-Bogot\u00e1; Bogot\u00e1-Monterrey-Bogot\u00e1.<br><strong>Brazil: <\/strong>Cali-Sao Paulo-Cali; Cali-Rio de Janeiro-Cali; Cartagena-Rio de Janeiro-Cartagena; Cartagena-Sao Paulo-Cartagena; Medell\u00edn-Belo Horizonte-Medell\u00edn.<br><strong>Dominican Republic: <\/strong>Medell\u00edn-Santo Domingo-Medell\u00edn.<br><strong>Aruba: <\/strong>Medellin-Aruba-Medellin.<br><strong>Costa Rica: <\/strong>Cali-San Jos\u00e9-Cali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/04\/viva-first-airline-operate-medellin-buenos-aires.html\">Viva will be first airline to operate direct flights between Medell\u00edn and Buenos Aires.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new routes requested to operate within Colombia are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santa Marta-Armenia-Santa Marta; Barranquilla-C\u00facuta-Barranquilla; Barranquilla-Pereira-Barranquilla; Bogot\u00e1-Popay\u00e1n-Bogot\u00e1; Bogot\u00e1-Quibd\u00f3-Bogot\u00e1; Cali-C\u00facuta-Cali; Cali-Leticia-Cali; Cali-Valledupar-Cali; Cartagena-Ibagu\u00e9-Cartagena; Cartagena-Popay\u00e1n-Cartagena; Medell\u00edn-Ibagu\u00e9-Medell\u00edn; Medell\u00edn-Popay\u00e1n-Medell\u00edn; Medell\u00edn-Quibd\u00f3-Medell\u00edn; Pereira-Monter\u00eda-Medell\u00edn; Santa Marta-Pasto-Santa Marta; Santa Marta-Neiva-Santa Marta; Santa Marta-Villavicencio-Santa Marta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these routes will be operated with Airbus
