{"id":125432,"date":"2022-04-25T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=125432"},"modified":"2022-04-25T23:32:57","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T23:32:57","slug":"united-and-singapore-airlines-expand-arrangement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2022\/04\/united-and-singapore-airlines-expand-arrangement.html","title":{"rendered":"United and Singapore Airlines expand codeshare arrangement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>United Airlines and Singapore Airlines (SIA)<\/strong> monday announced an expansion to their codeshare agreement, making it easier for customers to travel to more cities in the United States of America, South East Asia and other destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers can now enjoy codeshare flights to 19 new diverse and fast-growing cities ideal for both business and leisure travelers alike, tapping Singapore Airlines\u2019 and United Airlines\u2019 industry-leading networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/04\/united-delays-return-boeing-777s-with-pw4000-engines.html\">United delays return of some Boeing 777s with PW4000 engines.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning April 26, 2022, United\u2019s customers will be able to connect to nine new codeshare destinations in the SIA Group network. Of these, seven points are in South East Asia. These are Brunei\u2019s capital Bandar Seri Begawan, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia, and Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta and Surabaya in Indonesia. They may also connect to Perth in Australia, as well as Male in the Maldives with SIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIA customers may connect on United\u2019s flights out of Los Angeles to 10 new codeshare destinations in the US. These are Austin, Baltimore, Boise, Cleveland, Denver, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Reno and Sacramento. This complements the existing connections available on United\u2019s network from Houston to Atlanta, Austin, Dallas\/Ft. Worth, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, New Orleans, Orlando and Tampa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnited continues to provide critical links to Asia and we are the only US airline flying direct to Singapore from the US, with our nonstop San Francisco \u2013 Singapore flight,\u201d said Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of International Network and Alliances at United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/02\/united-fleet-of-training-aircraft.html\">United aims to quadruple the size of Its fleet of training aircraft.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSIA&#8217;s partnership with United is an integral part of our growth strategy. The expansion of the codeshare arrangement will provide both SIA and United customers with a greater array of choices and connections, as well as seamless transfers for their business or leisure travel&#8221;, said JoAnn Tan, Senior Vice President Marketing Planning, Singapore Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement comes amid growing demand for international air travel as more countries around the world ease border restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subject to regulatory approvals, the codeshare flights will be progressively made available for sale through the airlines\u2019 respective
