As part of the 46th edition of the Tianguis Tur\u00edstico, Mexico’s most important business forum for the tourism sector, representatives from Colombia and Jalisco celebrated the launch of the new Viva Aerobus <\/strong>Guadalajara – Bogota international route, a service that, to date, has only been offered for sale by this ultra low-cost Mexican airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, which took place in the Jalisco pavilion, was attended by the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Colombian Ambassador to Mexico, \u00c1ngela de la Cruz. Ambassador of Colombia in Mexico, \u00c1ngela Ospina de Nicholls; Ra\u00fal Revuelta, General Director of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pac\u00edfico (GAP); Adriana Guti\u00e9rrez, Director of ProColombia in our country; Stephane Marcoux, Marketing Director of OPAIN -concessionaire of El Dorado Airport-; Juan Jos\u00e9 Lamar, Deputy Director of Promotion of the District Institute of Tourism of Bogota; executives of Viva Aerobus and, the host of this launch, Claudia Vanessa P\u00e9rez Lamas, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Viva Aerobus to reactivate its operations at Toluca Airport.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new route will start operations on October 29th of this year with 2 flights per week and fares starting at $89 USD for a single trip. Flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 186 passengers and A321 aircraft for 240 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guadalajara – Bogota becomes Viva Aerobus’ fourth international route to Colombia, where it recently began operations in 2021 and currently flies from this South American capital to Cancun, Mexico City and now Guadalajara; in addition to flying from Medellin to CDMX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This sustained expansion of Viva Aerobus in Colombia responds to growing demand in one of the three largest air markets in Latin America. According to the most recent information from the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, the arrival of Colombian visitors by air to Mexico reported an increase of 216% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Thus, with more than 185 thousand passengers, Colombia positioned itself as the third country that generated the highest flow of visitors, behind the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With the Guadalajara – Bogota route, we make it possible for more people to travel between these two magnificent destinations with really low prices, new aircraft, reliability and passenger-focused service.
