Dominican airline Sky High Aviation <\/strong>has taken delivery of its first Embraer E190 passenger aircraft, becoming the only E-Jet operator based in the Caribbean. The first of two E190s provided by regional aircraft lessor TrueNoord arrived last week at Jos\u00e9 Francisco Pe\u00f1a G\u00f3mez Las Americas Airport after transition work was completed at Embraer’s MRO facility in Macon, Georgia, USA. The second aircraft will be delivered to the company this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of the E190s will bring a new level of comfort for passengers and open new international routes from the region. Sky High currently operates a fleet of two 50 seater Embraer ERJ 145s flying to 10 island destinations in the Caribbean. The E190s have been configured in a comfortable dual-class layout with 98 seats and will serve Sky High\u2019s existing destinations as well as opening new international routes to the United States, Central and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSky High has been a valued customer since 2019 when they first acquired the ERJ 145s. The addition of the E-190 to its current fleet will more than double Sky High\u2019s capacity, and their customers will benefit from the best-in-class comfort of the E190 two plus two configuration, with no middle seats\u201d, Mark Neely, VP Sales and Marketing, The Americas, Embraer Commercial Aviation, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
