Spain’s Volotea<\/strong> unveils this Monday its 10th anniversary commemorative aircraft with the name Lazaro Ros in honor of one of the airline’s founders. The new livery celebrates this milestone and symbolizes the company’s next ten years. The metallic color palette used represents the future of aviation and the opportunities that lie ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volotea has asked Saffron Brand Consultants, the company responsible for the Facebook to Meta rebranding, to reinterpret the Volotea livery and commemorative design of the A320 aircraft in order to give it a futuristic look without the loss of the airline’s iconic Mediterranean brand image. The metallic color palette used in the design is intended to reflect Volotea’s next ten years. The color gradient was achieved with just five colors – ranging from Volotea’s corporate red to metallic silver – using mica particles for the metallic effect without interfering with the aircraft’s systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very excited to unveil our new livery today. For months now, a Volotea design and engineering team has been working to bring this aircraft to life – everyone at Volotea can’t wait to see it fly!” said Lazaro Ros, co-founder of Volotea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Volotea is a young and brave airline with strong values. Projecting this commemorative aircraft and renewing its already disruptive and distinctive livery has been very exciting and fun. We took the opportunity to ask ourselves what the livery would look like in the next ten years. We were inspired by the desire to continue the path laid out in 2012 with great optimism, while trying to look ahead to the next ten years of Volotea’s trajectory. There are big challenges on the horizon for the airline: its people, its passengers, the environment, so we wanted to design a lighter and even more optimistic livery than the previous one. Happy anniversary, Volotea!” said Roberto Verona, Saffron’s creative director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last summer, Volotea completed its transition to a 100% Airbus fleet, which has enabled the company to significantly improve its competitiveness and efficiency thanks to a single pilot license, lower maintenance costs and simplified scheduling, control and auditing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
