The Spanish Iberia <\/strong>continues with the renewal of its fleet and has received the fifth of the six Airbus A320neo<\/strong> that it had planned for this year, and the thirteenth of this model to operate short and medium-haul flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Iberia celebrates its 95 years by auctioning replicas of iconic uniforms.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the latest A320neo that Iberia has incorporated already have the “Airspace” cabin with more comfortable interiors for customers: larger trunks for hand luggage, more space on board for passengers due to the redesign of the side panels, a new ambient lighting in the cabin and sinks with an antibacterial finish, among other improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honoring a great inventor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This A320neo with registration EC-NTQ bears the name Leonardo Torres Quevedo, in homage to one of the great Spanish inventors of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Cantabrian by birth and civil engineer by profession, Leonardo stood out for his great inventive and decisive capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He delved into very different fields such as aeronautics and algebra, and his contributions were highlighted both in Spain and outside our borders in various fields of engineering, such as cable cars or airships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of Iberia’s Airbus A320neo bear names related to aviation: Leonardo Torres Quevedo is the latest in a saga that includes Amelia Earhart, Mar\u00eda Bernaldo de Quir\u00f3s, Patrulla \u00c1guila or Getafe, the cradle of aviation, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
