The Spanish airline Volotea <\/strong>strengthens its position at Gran Canaria airport with the announcement of three new routes that will link the Canary archipelago with the French cities of Lille, Marseille and Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new connections will be operational from November 12 and will have a frequency of one flight a week, on Saturdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these new itineraries, Volotea reinforces the connectivity of the island of Gran Canaria with France, since Lille, Marseille and Toulouse join the two French destinations -Lyon and Nantes- already operating from this airport. In addition, from this Canarian airport, the airline also offers flights with Asturias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese new connections are an opportunity to strengthen our presence in the Canary Islands, from where we have already transported almost 1 million customers since 2012, and to improve the connection with the continent. In addition, with these three new routes between Gran Canaria and the French cities of Lille, Marseille and Toulouse, we contribute to the reactivation of tourism in the Canary archipelago and, consequently, to its economic development. At Volotea we want to continue consolidating our growth in Spain and France with the development of new routes and offer more destinations to our customers\u201d, commented Gabriel Schmilovich, General Director of Strategy at Volotea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2014 Volotea has been present at the Gran Canaria airport, where it has already operated more than 850 flights and transported more than 100,000 passengers. That year the airline launched its connection with the French city of Nantes. To this connection, the airline added its route with Asturias in 2020 and last year the connection with Lyon. Now, Volotea doubles its offer with the addition of these three new destinations from November: Lille, Marseille and Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
