The Civil Aeronautics reported this Friday that between January 1 and June 30 of this year, four new operators entered the Colombian air market and 62 new air routes were approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the new operators are LATAM Ecuador, Plus Ultra, Volaris Costa Rica and Sky Airlines Peru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the routes that were approved by the Civil Aeronautics during this first semester, these connect to the national territory in the following way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wingo operates the routes from Bogot\u00e1 to Armenia, Villavicencio, Yopal, Ibagu\u00e9 and Neiva. Likewise, the Armenia \u2013 Santa Marta \u2013 Armenia route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Colombia: Record passenger figures in first half of 2022.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avianca operates ten new routes that connect Bogot\u00e1 with: Ipiales, Popay\u00e1n, Yopal, Sincelejo, Florencia and Villavicencio. Likewise, to Bucaramanga with Cali and Santa Marta; to Cali with C\u00facuta and Riohacha, and to Cartagena with C\u00facuta, Medell\u00edn and Riohacha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, EasyFly operates two routes from Bogot\u00e1 to San Jos\u00e9 del Guaviare and Puerto In\u00edrida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ultra Air airline was authorized to operate on the routes from Bogot\u00e1 to Cali, Cartagena, Santa Marta and San Andr\u00e9s; Likewise, the connection between Medell\u00edn, Cartagena and Santa Marta; and Santa Marta with Pereira; and, to Cartagena with Pereira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In what has to do with the international operation, the approved routes were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the Air Caribe airline (cargo) three routes that connect Bogot\u00e1 with Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), Miami (United States) and San Juan de Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, the airline Viva Aerobus was approved for three routes from: Mexico City-Medell\u00edn, Canc\u00fan-Bogot\u00e1 and Guadalajara-Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Wingo launches two new international routes from Medell\u00edn.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two routes were approved for Wingo: Bogot\u00e1 \u2013 Valencia (Venezuela) and Medell\u00edn \u2013 Havana (Cuba).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the airline Avianca obtained the operating permit for ten routes: Bucaramanga \u2013 Miami; Cartagena-New York; Medellin\u2013Orlando; Santa Marta-Miami and Pereira-Miami. The connection between Cali and Mexico City; Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) \u2013 Bogot\u00e1 and Bogot\u00e1 \u2013 Caracas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the company Avianca Costa Rica was approved for two routes that connect San Jos\u00e9 with Cartagena and Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copa Airlines was approved for the Panama \u2013 Santa Marta \u2013 Panama route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, four routes were approved for the company Fast Colombia (Viva): Medell\u00edn \u2013 Sao Pablo (Brazil); Medellin-Buenos Aires (Argentina); Bogota-Buenos Aires (Argentina); Cartagena-Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operator JetSmart Colombia was approved for the route that connects Santiago de Chile (Chile) with Pereira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LATAM Ecuador was approved for the Quito \u2013 Bogot\u00e1 route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, for international passenger operations, the San Jos\u00e9 \u2013 Bogot\u00e1 \u2013 San Jos\u00e9 route was approved for Volaris Costa Rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Load Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding air cargo transport, the Civil Aeronautics approved three international routes to Air Canada. These are: Montreal \u2013 Bogot\u00e1 \u2013 Montreal; Montreal \u2013 Havana \u2013 Bogota \u2013 Montreal; and Toronto-Bogota-Montreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
