The BelugaST <\/strong>\u2018Super-Transporter\u2019 landed for the first time in Fortaleza, Brazil, as part of a mission to transport an ACH160 helicopter to a Brazilian operator. This helicopter will be assembled at the Azul Linhas A\u00e9reas MRO facility, located at S\u00e3o Paulo’s Viracopos Airport, where the Beluga will fly before returning to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January, Airbus launched a new service to offer oversized cargo transportation for customers around the world with the BelugaST. These cargo aircraft, based on the A300-600 design, have expanded their scope of action beyond transfers within Airbus facilities to fly missions around the world transporting large cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the new service, up to five BelugaSTs will fly oversized cargo for commercial customers under contract, serving industries such as engine manufacturers; space; helicopters and manufacturing machinery; energy, oil and gas; ground vehicles and other military equipment; humanitarian supplies, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
