Boeing<\/strong> delivered the first 737-8 to Bonza<\/strong>, a new airline that becomes the first Australian airline to fly the new 737 MAX. On Monday, the company held an arrival ceremony to commemorate the milestone and welcome the aircraft to its Sunshine Coast base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are beyond excited to welcome our first 737 MAX to Sunshine Coast Airport and with so much buzz around the country over Bonza, we hope today will also be an exciting day for the communities we will be flying to,\u201d said Tim. Jordan, CEO of Bonza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Boeing to resume 787 deliveries in August.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is a huge milestone for Bonza and Boeing as the airline joins many carriers around the world that have launched service with the 737 MAX,\u201d said Christy Reese, vice president of Boeing Asia Pacific Commercial Sales and Marketing. Commercial Airplanes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 737-8 will allow Bonza to streamline its domestic operations, while reducing fuel use and carbon emissions by 20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonza has committed to adding seven 737 MAX aircraft to its fleet within its first year of operation. The airline is working hard to start flights as soon as the end of September, subject to regulatory approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has also launched a nationwide contest on social media platforms to ask locals to help name their planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
