Iberia and Viva Aerobus<\/strong> have signed a codeshare agreement to provide more facilities to passengers traveling between Mexico and Spain, combining sections operated by both airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the one hand, customers of the Spanish airline traveling on the Madrid-Mexico City route will be able to take advantage of the network of domestic destinations that Viva Aerobus offers from the country’s capital on connecting flights. On the other hand, passengers in Mexico who want to travel to Madrid via Iberia, will be able to connect with the Mexico City \u2013 Madrid route, making the first leg with Viva on a connecting flight from any of the destinations that the Mexican airline offers to the International Airport of Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Iberia will recover its pre-pandemic level of activity in winter.<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iberia operates 19 flights a week between Madrid and Mexico City, and thanks to this agreement, the Spanish airline will be able to market Viva Aerobus services from Mexico City to 19 other cities in Mexico in connection with these flights: Guadalajara, Canc\u00fan, Monterrey, Veracruz, M\u00e9rida, Tampico, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, Tijuana, Hermosillo, Oaxaca, Huatulco, Torre\u00f3n, Puerto Escondido, Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez, La Paz, Chetumal and Mazatl\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing of this codeshare agreement will allow Iberia customers to purchase their travel itinerary in a single reservation, under the same baggage policy and with uniform fare conditions. From today, tickets can be purchased on the Iberia website or through travel agencies, for flights operated from August 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As demand has intensified, we have accompanied this reactivation with an increase in capacity very close to the pre-pandemic supply. With 19 flights a week, Mexico City is the metropolis with the highest number of frequencies in the entire American continent\u201d, commented M.\u00aa Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Sol\u00e1s, Commercial Director, Network Development and Alliances at Iberia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This alliance allows us to connect our network of domestic flights from Mexico City with the route that offers the largest number of passengers between Mexico and Europe.
