{"id":131208,"date":"2022-09-14T20:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T20:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=131208"},"modified":"2022-09-14T21:39:46","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T21:39:46","slug":"united-airlines-and-emirates-announce-codeshare-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2022\/09\/united-airlines-and-emirates-announce-codeshare-agreement.html","title":{"rendered":"United Airlines and Emirates announce codeshare agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>United Airlines and Emirates<\/strong> announced Wednesday a landmark commercial agreement that will enhance each airline&#8217;s network and give customers easier access to hundreds of destinations within the United States and around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>United will launch a new direct flight between Newark\/New Jersey and Dubai beginning in March 2023, and from there, customers will be able to travel on Emirates or its sister airline flydubai to more than 100 different cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/09\/emirates-invests-350-million-in-entertainment-system-a350.html\">Emirates invests over $350 million in entertainment system of its A350.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning in November, Emirates customers flying to three of the country&#8217;s largest business hubs &#8211; Chicago, San Francisco and Houston &#8211; will have access to nearly 200 U.S. cities in United&#8217;s network, most of which require only a one-stop connection. At eight other airports served by Emirates &#8211; Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, JFK, Orlando, Seattle and Washington DC &#8211; both airlines will have an interline agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>United and Emirates announced their agreement today at a ceremonial event at Dulles International Airport, hosted by United CEO Scott Kirby and Emirates President Sir Tim Clark, featuring Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and flight crews from both airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2022\/09\/united-invests-15-million-in-eve-air.html\">United Airlines invests $15 million in Eve Air and orders 200 eVTOLs.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This agreement brings together two iconic airlines that share a commitment to creating the best customer experience in the skies,&#8221; said United CEO Scott Kirby. &#8220;United&#8217;s new flight to Dubai and our complementary networks will make global travel easier for millions of our customers, helping to boost local economies and strengthen cultural ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Two of the world&#8217;s largest and best-known airlines are coming together to help people fly better to more places, at a time when demand for travel is rebounding strongly. This is an important partnership that will bring huge benefits to consumers and bring the United Arab Emirates and the United States even closer together,&#8221; said Sir Tim Clark, Chairman of Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This agreement will also give members of both airlines&#8217; loyalty programs more opportunities to earn more rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
