After a summer marked by strong travel demand, Air France<\/strong> continues to reopen its worldwide network. During the 2022-2023 winter season (November 2022 – March 2023), the airline will offer 171 destinations, including 86 long-haul and 85 short- and medium-haul. The airline’s entire fleet will be operational and capacity levels will be close to those of winter 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the year, Air France will launch new long-haul cabins. The airline is progressively installing a new Business seat that transforms into a real bed almost 2 meters long on 12 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launch of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Newark route, resumption of flights to Cape Town (South Africa) and Tokyo-Haneda (Japan)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In North America, and for the second consecutive winter, Air France will operate a direct service between Pointe-\u00e0-Pitre (Guadeloupe) and Montreal (Canada) from October 22, 2022 with twice-weekly flights operated by Airbus A320.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the leading carrier on the Paris-New York route, the airline will launch daily nonstop service between its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub and Newark Liberty Airport on December 12, 2022. This daily flight, operated by Boeing 777-200ER, marks Air France’s return to Newark, a historic destination served by the carrier until 2012, and will add to the services available between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York-JFK with 6 daily flights operated by Air France and 2 by its Skyteam partner Delta Air Lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the Paris-Charles de Gaulle-Dallas summer route will be extended for the winter season with 3 weekly flights operated by the Boeing 777-200ER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Africa, Air France will resume on October 30, 2022 its flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Cape Town (South Africa), suspended since the beginning of the pandemic. Three flights per week will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. In addition to Cape Town, the airline operates 7 weekly flights to Johannesburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the gradual reopening of Japan’s borders, the airline has resumed flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Tokyo-Haneda. This winter, Air France will fly from Paris to both Tokyo airports, with up to 5 weekly flights to Tokyo-Narita airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
