The Colombian Ministry of Transport will not be able to authorize flights of the Venezuelan airline Conviasa<\/strong> because it is sanctioned by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (Ofac) of the US State Department, according to Caracol<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason behind this is that Ofac proceeded to include Conviasa in the list of legal entities sanctioned for having links with the government of Nicol\u00e1s Maduro and for having had economic sanctions linked to drug trafficking and other activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Conviasa carried out the first flight operated by women in Venezuela.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sanction extends to all aircraft operated by the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After announcing the date for the opening of the border between Colombia and Venezuela, Conviasa informed that its first flight between Caracas and Bogota would take place on September 26 and that it will operate the route twice a week (Mondays and Fridays).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
