WestJet and Korean Air <\/strong>have expanded their long-standing codeshare agreement with the placement of the Canadian carrier’s code on the South Korean carrier’s flights from Toronto and Vancouver to Seoul’s Incheon International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is WestJet’s first codeshare with an Asian partner. Passengers now have more opportunities than ever to combine WestJet and Korean Air flights to meet their trans-Pacific travel needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 WestJet orders up to 64 Boeing 737 MAX 10 jets.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is incredibly exciting for WestJet to code share on flights across the Pacific to Asia for the first time. We have code-shared with Korean since 2012 and are very pleased to take this important step with a world-class partner,” said John Weatherill, WestJet’s Chief Commercial Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are delighted to expand our codeshare partnership with our long-standing partner WestJet, and look forward to offering unparalleled services across the Pacific to our valued customers,” said Tae Joon Kim, Korean Air’s Senior Vice President and Head of International Affairs and Alliance. “We remain committed to bridging Canada, Korea and Asia through our hub at Incheon Airport.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
