LATAM Airlines<\/strong> announced Wednesday that it will resume daily, direct flights between Brasilia and Lima (Peru) starting in March 2023. This route will halve the total travel time from Brazil’s capital to Peru compared to a connecting flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The direct flights to Lima will enable quick connections to at least 30 other airports in Brazil with direct routes to Brasilia and will facilitate arrival to sought-after international destinations, such as the Caribbean, as Peru is LATAM’s connecting point to that destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Brasilia-Lima route had not been operated by LATAM since April 2020, following the advance of the Covid-19 pandemic and international sanitary restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be LATAM’s fourth route between the two countries. The airline currently operates direct flights to Lima from Guarulhos (Sao Paulo), Galeao (Rio de Janeiro) and Porto Alegre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Aline Mafra, LATAM Brazil Sales and Marketing Director, connecting Brasilia directly to an international destination is an important step in the sustainable resumption of flights abroad and marks another LATAM investment in Brazil. “For us, Brasilia is a fundamental hub for generating connectivity. We are a company that has always believed in Brazil and to be able to announce this investment is to reinforce our commitment to the country.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LATAM is currently the largest airline operator at Brasilia airport, with 458 weekly flights from the federal capital to the following destinations: Aracaj\u00fa, Bel\u00e9m, Porto Seguro, Boa Vista, Cuiab\u00e1, Campo Grande, S\u00e3o Paulo\/Congonhas, Belo Horizonte\/Confins, Curitiba, Florian\u00f3polis, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro\/Gale\u00e3o, S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos, Goi\u00e2nia, Foz do Igua\u00e7u, Imperatriz, Jo\u00e3o Pessoa, Marab\u00e1, Manaus, Macap\u00e1, Macei\u00f3, Natal, Navegantes, Sinop, Palmas, Porto Alegre, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, Recife, Rio de Janeiro\/Santos Dumont, S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds, Salvador, Santar\u00e9m, Teresina, Uberl\u00e2ndia and Vit\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
