Wingo<\/strong> announces a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening its service in view of the high end-of-year holiday season that is about to begin. First, the low-cost airline has added a new aircraft to its fleet to offer more capacity on routes with increased demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wingo’s new aircraft is a Boeing 737-800 Next Generation that can carry 186 passengers. In this way, the airline reinforces its installed seating capacity to meet the demand of more and more travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More flights for the high season<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has published about 60 additional flights to operate between December 2022 and January 2023; thus, travelers will have more than 10 thousand additional seats during these two months, which represents greater fare and itinerary alternatives to carry out their vacation plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Wingo inaugurates four new routes.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the routes that will have increased capacity during the months in question are those connecting Bogota with Medellin, Cali, Armenia and Cartagena, as well as the route between Medellin and Aruba. These flights are already available for purchase through Wingo.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12% more flights through October 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wingo has also extended the publication of its itinerary until October 28, 2023. The airline has made 1.3 million additional seats available to travelers as of Friday, November 18, 2022, to give passengers the opportunity to schedule their trips further in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new schedule includes significant double-digit growth in the number of flights, mainly in the international network, on routes to Aruba, Panama City, Guayaquil, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Cancun, Havana and San Jose, Costa Rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new itinerary network comes with a 12% growth in flights compared to the airline’s current capacity. In total, Wingo will offer close to 7 thousand new flights distributed among the 33 routes it currently operates in more than 20 destinations in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“At Wingo we are preparing for the end-of-year high season by offering additional flights, expanding the publication of our itinerary and incorporating a new aircraft to our fleet. With the current behavior of passenger demand, we expect to close 2022 with more than 2 million passengers transported. We have increased our capacity by 200% compared to what we operated prior to the pandemic, and we will continue to identify new opportunities that will allow us to offer more and more flights and contribute to the full recovery of air transportation in Colombia,” said Jorge Jim\u00e9nez, Wingo’s Commercial and Planning Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
