the US bankruptcy law, informed the company, according to which among its goals for 2023 is to incorporate 25 airplanes to its fleet and consolidate the Abra Group, of which it is part with Brazil&#8217;s GOL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travelers were transported on 187,000 flights by the airline, which also inaugurated 21 routes to directly connect markets such as Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, the United States, Argentina and Peru, Avianca said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a addition, the company reactivated in 2022 its direct operation from Bogota to the United Kingdom with 14 weekly flights to London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avianca successfully completed in December 2021 its financial restructuring process, initiated in May 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic, and emerged from bankruptcy with a reduction of its debt and more than US$1 billion in liquidity, the company reported at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding its goals for this year, the airline said it will continue working on the consolidation of Grupo Abra, the completion of its fleet reconfiguration process, the optimization of its customer service processes and the strengthening of its cargo business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last May Avianca and Brazil&#8217;s GOL announced an agreement for the formation of Grupo Abra, a Latin American airline giant seeking recovery after the pandemic crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this alliance, the two companies form an air transport conglomerate with ambitions of leadership in Latin America, disputing that position with Latam Airlines, born in 2012 from the merger between Chile&#8217;s LAN and Brazil&#8217;s TAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
