Airport cancels all flights due to strike"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Berlin-Brandenburg airport <\/strong>canceled all its flights on Wednesday due to a 24-hour strike called by the Ver.di union to demand wage improvements for ground handling workers, the airport company and air safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/01\/spain-aena-airports-close-2022-with-a-recovery-of-88-5.html\">Spain: Aena airports close 2022 with a recovery of 88.5%<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The reason for the strike are the parallel rounds of collective bargaining, for which a solution has not yet been found in any of the three sectors,&#8221; ver.di said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The union said its members were asking for a raise of 500 euros ($544) a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The strike affected some 300 flights to and from the German capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Photo: Arne
