{"id":136669,"date":"2023-02-14T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-14T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=136669"},"modified":"2023-02-15T01:00:51","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T01:00:51","slug":"rolls-royce-announces-biggest-ever-order-of-trent-xwb-97-engines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/02\/rolls-royce-announces-biggest-ever-order-of-trent-xwb-97-engines.html","title":{"rendered":"Rolls-Royce announces biggest ever order of Trent XWB-97 engines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Rolls-Royce<\/strong> announced Tuesday that it has received an order from Air India for 68 Trent XWB-97 engines, with an option for 20 more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the largest ever order for the Trent XWB-97, which exclusively powers the Airbus A350-1000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India has also ordered 12 Trent XWB-84 engines, the only engine option for the Airbus A350-900.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/02\/mitsubishi-to-terminate-spacejet-development.html\">Mitsubishi to terminate SpaceJet development, Japanese media reports<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first time an Indian airline has ordered the Trent XWB and the deal will make Air India the largest Trent XWB-97 operator in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s announcement marks an exciting and truly remarkable occasion for Tata Group and Air India; the size and magnitude of this order reflects the level of their ambition for the future.
