The Civil Aeronautics of Colombia presented this Friday its report on passenger mobilization and cargo transport by air in the first month of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the figure consolidated by the Directorate of Air Transport and Aerocommercial Affairs, during the month of January 3,816,000 passengers were mobilized in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 <\/em><\/strong>Panama: Tocumen airport to process 15.7 million passengers in 2022<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This represents a decrease of 1.2% of the people mobilized in the same month of 2022; that is, 46,000 people less than the same period of the previous year, when 3,862,000 passengers were mobilized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the total number of passengers who flew in January, 2,722,000 flew to and from domestic destinations and 1,139,000 flew to and from international destinations. The reduction occurred mainly in the domestic market, where 103,000 people (3.8%) were subtracted from the number of passengers using this service in January 2022. The international market was favored with 57,000 additional passengers (5%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air cargo transportation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first month of 2023, air operators transported 68,459 tons of cargo and mail, down 5.5% from the same month in 2022, when 72,475 tons were transported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
