For the upcoming summer season, which begins on March 25 and runs through the end of October, Iberia <\/strong>is strengthening its commitment to the Madrid-Barcelona Air Shuttle, offering the 86 weekly frequencies it operated before the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This summer, Iberia customers will have up to 15 daily flights in each direction, with Wednesdays being the busiest days. The flight schedules of the Air Shuttle flights cover all time slots, with take-offs every 30 minutes during rush hour; the first one from Madrid and Barcelona at 07:00 in the morning and the last one between 21:00 and 21:30, which allows a comfortable round trip during the day and is an incentive for business travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Iberia details its flight schedule for next summer<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iberia has achieved a good mix of corporate and connecting traffic on its Madrid-Barcelona route, which has allowed it to increase frequencies and recover pre-pandemic service. In recent months, occupancy levels on these flights have now reached over 80%, a figure that is close to those recorded before the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Shuttle: “Arrive and Fly” with more than 90% punctuality rate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Airlift is Iberia’s main domestic route, to which it dedicates a fleet mix that includes its new Airbus A320neo, and specialist teams on the service in both Madrid and Barcelona. All this contributes to the route’s excellent punctuality, which in 2022 was 90.5% and, so far this year, already stands at 91.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This service offers other advantages linked to its “arrive and fly” philosophy: total flexibility to change your flight from the Iberia App, as many times as necessary and at no cost; in addition, you can make a seat reservation to ensure the flight of your choice or fly with open tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, in both Madrid and Barcelona, Iberia’s shuttle customers benefit from the layout of the facilities that the airline dedicates to this service: at both El Prat and Madrid airports, the counters, security checkpoint and VIP lounge are close to the shuttle boarding gates, allowing customers to check in up to 20 minutes before their flight departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
