Avianca<\/strong> presented the latest livery of its vintage collection. This time dedicated to Aviateca<\/strong>, an airline founded in Guatemala in 1945, which after being part of Grupo TACA became part of Avianca in 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft, an Airbus A320, registration number N398AV, has the blue livery that Aviateca wore in the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the fourth aircraft with retro paint that Avianca will add to its collection, which includes one dedicated to the company’s 100th anniversary, one from TACA and one from LACSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Avianca to fly between Quito and New York starting in June<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We carry with us the legacy of aviation in Latin America and we are proud to carry the colors of these companies that are iconic in the history of our countries. Today, as an operator, Aviateca is part of the domestic and international connectivity we have in Guatemala, thanks to the more than 190 Guatemalan employees who are part of our Group,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Sales Director for North America, Central America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last December, the airline announced the reactivation of Aviateca flights as a member airline of Avianca Group. Currently this operator has 6 weekly domestic flights between Guatemala-Flores, connecting the entire Pet\u00e9n area. Internationally it also flies from the capital to Tegucigalpa and El Salvador an average of 6 weekly flights. Additionally, the company also flies with other operators part of the group to Los Angeles, Washington, New York and Bogota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vintage livery aircraft will initially fly routes in Colombia, and is scheduled to arrive in Guatemala in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
