Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA)<\/strong> and newly launched Riyadh Air <\/strong>announced Tuesday orders for up to 121 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft between the two airlines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To expand its fleet, SAUDIA is ordering 39 787 aircraft, with an option for 10 more. The agreement will include 787-9 and 787-10 models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline, founded in 1945, currently operates more than 50 Boeing aircraft on its long-haul network, including the 777-300ER, 787-9 and 787-10 Dreamliner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riyadh Air, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), reported that it will purchase 39 787-9 aircraft, with options for an additional 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in the country’s capital, the new airline will play a key role in the growth of Saudi Arabia’s air transport network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This agreement is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategic plan to transform the country into a global aviation hub, serving 330 million passengers and attracting 100 million annual visitors by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal will be the fifth largest commercial order by value in Boeing’s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
