Volotea <\/strong>strengthens its position in the Canary Islands with two new routes that will connect the airports of Tenerife South and Gran Canaria with Bilbao Airport from October 11 and 10 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this new route to Tenerife South, which will be operated exclusively by Volotea, the airline plans to offer 1,800 seats between the two cities in October, with a frequency of two flights a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. With the addition of this new destination, the company offers connections to two countries from Tenerife South Airport -Spain and France- and to a total of eight cities -Asturias, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse-.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of Gran Canaria Airport, the company will offer in the month of October 2,160 seats for this route that will operate with a frequency of two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. In total, Volotea has seven routes from this airport. Five international ones linking the island with France – Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse – and two domestic ones to Asturias, Bilbao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This year, Volotea, will continue to strengthen our connectivity strategy between the mainland and the islands. We are therefore very pleased to announce these new routes connecting Tenerife and Gran Canaria with our base in Bilbao. The new routes reinforce our presence in the Canary archipelago, where Volotea has already carried more than 1 million customers since it began operations in the islands in 2012. In addition, we continue to study new connection opportunities for the near future,” commented Gabriel Schmilovich Isgut, Volotea’s Chief Strategy Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
