Lauderdale Airport resumed operations after flooding"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport<\/strong> announced Friday the resumption of its operations, which had been interrupted since Wednesday afternoon due to flooding caused by heavy rains in southeast Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Airlines with a presence in Fort Lauderdale, one of the busiest airports in Florida with more than 31 million passengers in 2022, resumed operations at 9 a.m., the airport said in a message posted on the networks, in which it warned travelers to call the companies before showing up at the terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/04\/top-10-busiest-airports-in-the-world-in-2022.html\">Top 10 busiest airports in the world in 2022<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As seen in photographs and videos taken on Thursday, the storm that fell on Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale flooded the runways and other outdoor areas of the airport, including the road leading to the arrivals area, as well as many other roads in that city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rainfall in 24 hours in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday set a new Florida record of
