The first aircraft will be delivered in 2024, the rest will be delivered gradually until early 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This agreement is part of the overall sustainability priority to modernize DHL Express&#8217; long-haul fleet, including the replacement of older aircraft. The order for converted freighters with a shorter service life provides an efficient bridge between current and new airframe technologies, such as the new-generation B777-8F and A350F freighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/03\/eva-air-orders-five-additional-boeing-787-9-jets.html\">EVA Air orders five additional Boeing 787-9 jets<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are delighted to welcome the converted B777-200LRs to the DHL Express family,&#8221; says Robert Hyslop, EVP Global Aviation at DHL Express. &#8220;With the modernization of our intercontinental fleet, we can simultaneously enhance our proven ability to meet growing demand, improve our environmental footprint and offer best-in-class service to our customers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between 2018 and 2022, DHL purchased 28 new B777-200F freighter aircraft from Boeing, 18 of which are currently in service.
