{"id":139619,"date":"2023-05-18T14:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T14:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=139619"},"modified":"2023-05-19T01:03:22","modified_gmt":"2023-05-19T01:03:22","slug":"india-government-wants-go-first-flights-to-resume-as-soon-as-possible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/05\/india-government-wants-go-first-flights-to-resume-as-soon-as-possible.html","title":{"rendered":"India government wants Go First flights to resume as soon as possible"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Indian government wants <strong>Go Airline<\/strong>s flights to resume as soon as possible, the civil aviation minister said on Thursday, a week after the troubled low-cost carrier was granted bankruptcy protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently rebranded as Go First, India\u2019s sixth largest airline filed for bankruptcy protection earlier in May blaming its financial woes on \u201cfaulty\u201d Pratt &amp; Whitney engines that grounded about half of its 54 Airbus A320neos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The U.S. engine maker, part of Raytheon Technologies, has said the claim was without merit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/05\/turkish-airlines-set-to-order-600-aircraft-chairman-says.html\">Turkish Airlines set to order 600 aircraft, chairman says<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s certainly something that is not a great thing for civil aviation. However, each company has to manage its own issues,\u201d Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told reporters, according to a video clip published by news agency ANI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would want a resumption of flights as soon as possible. They have to submit their plan to (the aviation regulator) which will cover the number of planes and routes,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline has cancelled all flights until May 26, while some of its lessors have terminated leases and placed requests with the aviation regulator to repossess more than 40 planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"related-topics\">Related
