Wingo<\/strong> announced this Wednesday an increase in capacity for the high holiday season of 2023, which officially begins this Saturday, June 3 and runs until the end of August. In total there are more than 65 thousand additional seats that the airline is making available to Colombians, distributed in 350 flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ninety-three percent of these increases will be on flights within Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“At Wingo we continue to place capacity where the country needs it. That is why we are increasing our operations during the high holiday season in the middle of the year, so that Colombians do not frustrate their travel plans by not having a greater supply of low-cost routes. These 350 flights represent greater fare possibilities for thousands of travelers, as well as a new boost for the national tourism chain,” said Jorge Jim\u00e9nez, Wingo’s Commercial and Planning Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

326 additional flights to the interior of Colombia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will offer close to 60 thousand additional seats on seven routes within Colombia. The routes benefited are those connecting Bogota with Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla, Santa Marta and Cartagena; and those connecting San Andres with Cartagena and Barranquilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that San Andres is one of the destinations that will benefit the most from this increase, with 40 additional flights representing nearly 7,500 seats during these three months of high season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4,500 additional seats to enjoy Aruba<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will also add 26 additional flights to Aruba, the Happy Island of the Caribbean. These flights will originate from Medellin and Bogota and will have a larger deployment in the month of July. With these additional flights, plus the start of its Cali – Aruba route on July 1, 2023, Wingo ratifies its position as the airline with the most robust point-to-point route network for flights to the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
