This route remains the only direct flight between Australia and mainland Europe offered by any airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/06\/go-first-hopes-to-resume-operations-by-month-end.html\">Go First hopes to resume operations by month end<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline has also confirmed it will operate the service for a third year, with flights for 2024 going on sale in early July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qantas International CEO Cameron Wallace said the airline was delighted to fly Australians directly to Rome for another summer in Europe.3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our Perth-Rome route was one of the most popular on our international network last year and bookings indicate it will be again,&#8221; Wallace commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qantas customers can connect from Rome to 16 destinations in Europe, including Geneva, Nice and Madrid, and 14 destinations in Italy. A &#8220;circle fare&#8221; also allows travelers to fly to Rome and return to Australia from London on the same ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"related-topics\">Related
