The airline Binter <\/strong>inaugurated this Saturday its new direct connection between the Canary Islands and Essaouira, Morocco, which marks the beginning of the last phase of activation of its summer schedule, which will connect the islands with more than 30 destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canary Islands company thus launches the most complete program in its history, with more than 650,000 seats in up to 230 weekly flights on more than 45 routes, which represents an increase of 12% compared to the summer of 2022 and almost triples the capacity operated the summer before the pandemic. This shows the effort made by Binter to continue contributing to the improvement of air connectivity in the Canary Islands, in its commitment to consolidate its offer of direct flights to national and international destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the peak period of the season, Binter will operate an average of 257 daily flights on the 63 air routes operated by the company both in the archipelago itself and in connections with foreign destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First flights with Essaouira, Tangier and Ibiza<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Binter inaugurated on Saturday the first of its three new destinations for the month of July. The plane bound for the coastal city of Essaouira took off from Gran Canaria Airport at 11:20 am to arrive at the Moroccan airport at 1:05 pm, from where it returned at 1:45 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, June 5, it will inaugurate the second of this month’s new routes, linking Gran Canaria with Tangier, in Morocco; and on Thursday, June 6, the third, with Ibiza Airport, completing the company’s offer with the Balearic archipelago, with flights to all its airports this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reactivations with Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Tenerife South from Madeira and with destinations in Morocco<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has also recovered the summer connections between Madeira Airport and the airports of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, and between Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de la Laguna Airport and Marrakech Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, July 2, it resumed direct routes between Funchal and Tenerife South and also the direct connection between the Portuguese airport and Marrakech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, on Saturday, July 22, Binter will reactivate the direct connection with Fez, which puts the icing on the cake to the largest schedule of routes in the history of the airline with the North African region closest to the Canary Islands, with more than 78,000 seats offered in up to 36 weekly flights covering 11 routes with eight destinations: Fez, Marrakech, Agadir, Guelmim, Laayoune and Dakhla, to which Tangier and Essaouira will be added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Binter also reported that in June it has surpassed the figure of 80 million passengers transported on board its aircraft since its creation in 1989.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
