On Monday, July 3, SKY<\/strong> began operations of its new international route between Lima (Peru) and S\u00e3o Paulo (Brazil).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight departed from Jorge Ch\u00e1vez International Airport in Lima to S\u00e3o Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport at 11:40 p.m. with an 85% occupancy rate. It was fired by Jos\u00e9 Ra\u00fal Vargas, SKY’s general manager in Peru, who thanked those present for attending this milestone and highlighted the airline’s plans to continue growing in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The start of flights to Sao Paulo reaffirms our commitment to the growth of the airline industry and the consolidation of tourism in the region. With this opening, we continue working to become the preferred low cost carrier in Latin America, with very affordable fares and the most modern fleet in South America. We are confident that this new route will be a great opportunity to promote greater cultural and economic exchange between Peru and Brazil, while allowing SKY to strengthen its presence in such an attractive market as Brazil,” said Vargas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its international expansion strategy, the low cost airline will allow Peruvians and Brazilians to travel between this destination and the Peruvian capital through four weekly flights, in which the airline expects to transport around 5,800 passengers per month. Due to the good reception of the route, the airline expects to increase frequencies in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKY continues its internationalization strategy in Latin America, taking Lima as an important connection point in the region, with state-of-the-art aircraft and low cost fares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
