{"id":141513,"date":"2023-07-12T12:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T12:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=141513"},"modified":"2023-07-12T20:09:56","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T20:09:56","slug":"royal-air-maroc-plans-to-quadruple-its-fleet-by-2037","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/07\/royal-air-maroc-plans-to-quadruple-its-fleet-by-2037.html","title":{"rendered":"Royal Air Maroc plans to quadruple its fleet by 2037"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Moroccan state-owned airlines <strong>Royal Air Maroc (RAM)<\/strong> plans to quadruple its fleet to 200 aircraft by 2037 to meet increasing demand, the government said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To that end, a deal was signed by Morocco\u2019s prime minister, Aziz Akhannouch, and RAM chief Hamid Addou to increase the participation of the government in the airline\u2019s capital, the prime minister\u2019s office said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Details on the state\u2019s new contribution to RAM\u2019s capital were not disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/07\/emirates-launches-regional-charter-flight-service.html\">Emirates launches regional charter flight service<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morocco aims to attract 17.5 million tourists by 2026, up from 11 million last year, according to the tourism ministry. In 2019 Morocco had 13 million visitors, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/morocco-airlines\/moroccan-airlines-ram-plans-to-quadruple-its-fleet-by-2037-idUSL1N38X2D5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Reuters<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, the sector\u2019s revenue more than doubled compared with 2021 to 91 billion dirhams, exceeding 2019 levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But by 2037, it aspires to attract 67 million travellers as it also seeks to make Casablanca among the three largest air transport hubs in Africa, the statement
