International Airlines Group (IAG) <\/strong>has agreed to convert seven aircraft options (six Boeing 787-10s and one Airbus A350-900) into firm orders to strengthen the long-haul fleets of its British Airways and Iberia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported this Thursday to the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission (CNMV), the aircraft will be delivered between 2025 and 2026 and will allow to recover the capacity of the long-haul fleets of both airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Iberia Joins British Airways and Qatar Airways to Expand the Largest Airline Joint Business<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, the six Boeing 787-10s will be operated by British Airways, while the Airbus A350-900 will be part of Iberia’s fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These state-of-the-art aircraft will help restore capacity to pre-pandemic levels,” said IAG CEO Luis Gallego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IAG will also add six more 787-10 options to its long-haul order book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To pay for the new aircraft, the company says it has a number of financing options available, and will choose the most suitable one closer to delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
