{"id":142426,"date":"2023-08-08T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=142426"},"modified":"2023-08-08T21:44:17","modified_gmt":"2023-08-08T21:44:17","slug":"boeing-modifies-777-8-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/08\/boeing-modifies-777-8-design.html","title":{"rendered":"Boeing modifies 777-8 design"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>U.S. manufacturer <strong>Boeing<\/strong> unveiled a design modification to the <strong>777-8<\/strong>, increasing the aircraft&#8217;s fuselage length by 3.5 feet, which has increased its passenger capacity from 384 to 395 (in two classes), and increased its range from 8,730 nautical miles to 8,745.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 777-8 has only won a total of 24 orders, which may explain the modification of its design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/08\/akasa-air-becomes-first-asian-airline-to-take-delivery-of-boeing-737-max-8-200.html\">Akasa Air becomes first Asian airline to take delivery of Boeing 737 MAX 8-200<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airlines that have ordered these 24 777-8s are Etihad Airways (8) and Emirates (16). However, Boeing&#8217;s order backlog in June 2023 led to speculation that Emirates may have converted its 777-8 orders to the 777-9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 777-9 is expected to enter service in 2025,
