LATAM Airlines<\/strong> announced on Wednesday that it will resume the direct route between Santiago (Chile) and Florian\u00f3polis (Brazil) on a permanent basis as of November 1st. Thus, passengers will be able to reach their destination in just over 3.5 hours, on average, saving up to 50% in travel time compared to existing flights that have a connection in Sao Paulo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, and to meet the high demand expected for the summer, the route will have a daily flight between November and March 2024. And from April, it will continue to operate with four frequencies per week. In the first year of operation alone, LATAM expects to mobilize more than 77,500 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 LATAM resumed flights between Lima and Caracas<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Brazil is a strategic market for us, where today we have diverse travel synergies, both business and tourism. Our direct route between Santiago and Florian\u00f3polis with a daily frequency, and which will now also be available all year round, is a reflection of our interest in offering the best travel experience for our passengers and being the best option in terms of connectivity,” said Mar\u00eda Paz Villasante, Sr. Manager of Commercial Strategy at LATAM Airlines Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Santiago-Florian\u00f3polis route will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft (capacity for 12 passengers in Premium Economy cabin and 162 in Economy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increased connectivity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The airline currently operates 4 international destinations from Chile to Brazil: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. And as of November 1st it will add two more: It will resume the itinerary to Florian\u00f3polis and will inaugurate flights to Belo Horizonte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with the group’s growth, LATAM Airlines Group continues to add routes to its global network of 143 destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
