plans to reduce flights at Mexico City airport"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mexico\u2019s government plans to cap flights at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to 43 an hour, according to an internal government document order seen by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/mexico-aviation-aicm\/update-1-more-flight-cuts-planned-at-mexico-city-hub-internal-document-shows-idUSL1N3AB2UR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Reuters<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resolution, sent by the Transportation Ministry to the airport, is expected to be published in Mexico\u2019s official gazette soon, a source familiar with the matter said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/08\/aeromexico-to-concentrate-operations-at-aicms-t2-from-september-onwards.html\">Aeromexico to concentrate operations at AICM\u2019s T2 from September onwards<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cuts follow previous flight caps at the airport last year, as the government attempts to reduce saturation in the Mexican capital\u2019s airspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier on Wednesday, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) urged Mexico to take alternative measures to its plans to announce flight reductions at AICM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IATA said in a statement to Reuters it could not accept \u201cany unilateral and uncoordinated decisions\u201d that would hamper
