{"id":144081,"date":"2023-09-25T12:30:28","date_gmt":"2023-09-25T12:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=144081"},"modified":"2023-09-26T22:20:59","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T22:20:59","slug":"air-canada-orders-18-boeing-787-10-jets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/09\/air-canada-orders-18-boeing-787-10-jets.html","title":{"rendered":"Air Canada orders 18 Boeing 787-10 jets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Boeing<\/strong> announced Monday that <strong>Air Canada<\/strong> has chosen the 787 Dreamliner to modernize and expand its fleet with an order for 18 787-10 aircraft, with the option to purchase 12 more.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our experience shows that customers really enjoy flying the Dreamliner, so we are pleased to offer them a larger version of this popular aircraft, which will debut a new, state-of-the-art cabin interior design,&#8221; said Michael Rousseau, the airline&#8217;s president and CEO.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/09\/air-canada-announces-new-route-between-montreal-and-madrid.html\">Air Canada announces new route between Montreal and Madrid<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>By reducing fuel consumption and improving efficiency by up to 25% compared to previous-generation aircraft, the 787 helps advance Air Canada&#8217;s ambitious environmental goals for the coming decades.<\/p>\n<p>The airline currently operates a fleet of 38 787 aircraft, of which eight are 787-8s and 30 are 787-9s. The largest model in the family, the 787-10, can carry up to 336 passengers with a range of 6,330 nautical miles (11,730 km).<\/p>\n<p>With the selection of the 787 Dreamliner family, Air Canada supports economic growth and employment throughout the Canadian airline industry.
