{"id":144095,"date":"2023-09-26T13:00:08","date_gmt":"2023-09-26T13:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=144095"},"modified":"2023-09-26T22:50:38","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T22:50:38","slug":"ntsb-probes-jetblue-flight-that-experienced-severe-turbulence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/09\/ntsb-probes-jetblue-flight-that-experienced-severe-turbulence.html","title":{"rendered":"NTSB probes JetBlue flight that experienced severe turbulence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Transportation Safety Board said it has opened an investigation into a <strong>JetBlue<\/strong> flight that experienced sudden severe turbulence and led to eight apparent injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred on Monday on JetBlue Flight 1256, an Airbus A320, near Jamaica while en route from Guayaquil, Ecuador to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the board said.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/09\/jetblue-inaugurates-flights-between-boston-and-amsterdam.html\">JetBlue inaugurates flights between Boston and Amsterdam<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>JetBlue said the seven customers and one inflight crew member were met by medical personnel and transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment and the flight landed safely, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/aerospace-defense\/ntsb-probes-jetblue-flight-that-experienced-severe-turbulence-injuring-eight-2023-09-25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Aviation Administration said it was also investigating the flight. Serious injuries as a result of turbulence remain rare, according to FAA data.
