{"id":144525,"date":"2023-10-15T12:30:12","date_gmt":"2023-10-15T12:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=144525"},"modified":"2023-10-15T21:42:37","modified_gmt":"2023-10-15T21:42:37","slug":"embraers-phenom-300e-and-praetor-600-complete-100-sustainable-aviation-fuel-saf-flight-tests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2023\/10\/embraers-phenom-300e-and-praetor-600-complete-100-sustainable-aviation-fuel-saf-flight-tests.html","title":{"rendered":"Embraer\u2019s Phenom 300E and Praetor 600 complete 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) flight tests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Embraer<\/strong> sunday announced it has successfully tested the Phenom 300E and Praetor 600 on 100% neat sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).<\/p>\n<p>The tests, with one engine running on 100% SAF, were performed at Embraer\u2019s Melbourne facility and provided significant insight into systems\u2019 performance when utilizing blends up to 100% SAF.<\/p>\n<p>The tests had collaboration of the engine and fuel system suppliers Honeywell Aerospace, Parker, Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada and Safran.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2023\/09\/american-airlines-joins-embraers-energia-advisory-group.html\">American Airlines Joins Embraer\u2019s Energia Advisory Group<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The use of SAF is a critical part of Embraer&#8217;s commitment to sustainability, and this milestone demonstrates the company&#8217;s dedication to adapting our current products to be as sustainable as possible and promoting its adoption among customers and in the industry.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are proud to have successfully flown the Phenom 300E and Praetor 600 on 100% neat SAF, an important step as our operators are increasingly interested in and adopting this fuel,&#8221; said Michael Amalfitano, Embraer Executive Jets President and CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, all Embraer aircraft are approved to use a blend of up to 50% of SAF mixed with conventional Jet Fuel, based on ASTM International specifications.
