The Argentine Government announced this Friday that low cost airlines will add new air routes thanks to the “open skies” policy embodied both in the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) signed by President Javier Milei and in the draft Omnibus Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The decree proposed a new regulatory framework that allows companies to project new routes, new businesses. Some cases are Jetsmart, which is going to connect Concepci\u00f3n in the south of Chile with Buenos Aires, and Flybondi, which launched its first flight to Mar del Plata”, announced this morning the presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, in a press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The aerocommercial policy of the last few years, marked by the expropriation of Aerol\u00edneas Argentinos, limited competition and kept Argentines prisoners of a service that was not commensurate with prices,” Adorni criticized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is news that makes us very happy because people who could not fly will now be able to do so”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the new domestic and international low cost air routes?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“With the open skies policy promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure, headed by Guillermo Ferraro, more and more airlines are planning to operate new routes in the country, with affordable prices and promoting competition”, states the official statement issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
