<strong>Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Madrid-Barajas airport <\/strong>will allow it to play &#8220;in the first division&#8221; of the large European hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President of the Government, Pedro S\u00e1nchez, announced today during his visit to the Fitur tourism fair that the investment for the expansion of Madrid&#8217;s Barajas airport will reach 2.4 billion euros, which will allow it to increase its capacity to 90 million passengers by 2031, 28% more than the current capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/01\/espacio-iberia-to-move-to-mexico-city.html\">Espacio Iberia to move to Mexico City<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Candela, this is &#8220;excellent news&#8221; which, together with the purchase of Air Europa by the IAG group, to which Iberia belongs, &#8220;make up the two conditions necessary for Madrid to really be a &#8216;hub&#8217; that plays in the first European division&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his opinion, an excellent infrastructure, together with a network airline &#8220;with sufficient critical mass and with a sufficient number of
