The Dominican airline Arajet<\/strong> reported that January was the best month for occupancy on its flights, with an average that exceeded 80% for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the most recent report of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Arajet continues to be the leading Dominican airline in passenger transportation with a total of 66,526 passengers during the month of January, which is equivalent to 73% of the total number of passengers transported by local operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00edctor Pacheco explained that this official JAC number does not take into account connecting passengers, so when you look at the complete data you can understand why January was the best month in Arajet’s history, with record average occupancy for the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Arajet takes delivery of its ninth Boeing 737 MAX 8<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are getting better month after month, which fills us with satisfaction and gratitude towards the passengers of our 23 destinations, who increasingly prefer Arajet to come to the country or to connect to one of the 16 countries we currently fly to.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Pacheco indicated that, according to data provided by the Ministry of Tourism, available on the Situr portal, in January, Arajet was the second airline with the highest number of tourists entering the country through Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Arajet is already an airline with a great impact on tourist arrivals, and this is without yet having access to the U.S. market, which fills us with optimism for an extraordinary future for our airline and for the country, due to the significant increase in tourists that the DR will have when we have flights to that market,” added Pacheco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
