European aeronautics group Airbus<\/a><\/strong> CEO Guillaume Faury said Monday that last January’s incident involving an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 has made them “very humbled.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We share the goal of making aviation a safe mode of transportation. It is never a good thing for an incident to happen, whatever the type of aircraft,” the head of the U.S. aircraft manufacturer’s main competitor said in a conversation at the Dubai World Government Summit (WGS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that this “incident” has made them “very humble” and has also made them think “over and over again” about what they should do so as not to find themselves in the same situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, he pointed out that Airbus is continually challenging itself to try to improve in a world that “is changing rapidly”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said last week that the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 that suffered a mid-air incident was missing four screws right on the panel that broke off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
