Spanish airline Volotea<\/strong> starts the year with the addition of three Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet, in response to the increase in capacity and the new routes announced for this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these additions, the company will have a total of 44 aircraft: 20 Airbus A319 and 24 A320 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three new aircraft will start flying in April, when the summer season begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Volotea transported more than 10 million passengers in 2023<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline expects to offer between 12.5 and 13 million seats (12% to 16% more by 2023), 12 million passengers and around 80,000 flights, all with a workforce that will reach 2,000 people this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very proud to continue to grow in line with the expansion plans we had planned for this year and to do so hand in hand with Airbus as a partner,” said Stephen Rapp, Volotea’s Chief Financial Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volotea serves more than 110 airports in Europe, its main markets are France, Italy and Spain, and has bases in 21 small and medium-sized European cities: Asturias, Athens, Bari, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Brest, Cagliari, Florence, Hamburg, Lille, Lyon, Lourdes, Marseille, Nantes, Naples, Olbia, Palermo, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Venice and Verona. The bases of Brest, in Brittany, France, and Bari, in Puglia, Italy, will be added as a new addition in 2024 and continue to add to the expansion planned by the company this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
