{"id":148273,"date":"2024-02-21T13:00:12","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T13:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=148273"},"modified":"2024-02-21T21:27:28","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T21:27:28","slug":"starlux-orders-five-a350f-and-three-a330neo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/02\/starlux-orders-five-a350f-and-three-a330neo.html","title":{"rendered":"STARLUX orders five A350F and three A330neo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>STARLUX Airlines<\/strong> of Taiwan has placed a firm order for five all-new A350F freighters and three more A330neo widebody aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement was signed at the Singapore Airshow by KW Chang, Chairman of STARLUX Airlines and Christian Scherer, CEO of the Commercial Aircraft business of Airbus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSTARLUX Airlines has continuously nurtured the cargo market since its inception, capitalising on the strategic advantages offered by Taiwan\u2019s geographical location,\u201d said STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/02\/etihad-airways-pilots-certified-to-fly-a350-and-a380-interchangeably.html\">Etihad Airways pilots certified to fly A350 and A380 interchangeably<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith this order, STARLUX will become the first Taiwanese airline to operate the next-generation A350F widebody freighter. In an era of climate change, the A350F has unbeatable efficiency in terms of fuel burn, CO2 emissions, and economics, offering significant energy-saving and carbon reduction benefits. It not only meets customer requirements for carbon reduction but also aligns with STARLUX\u2019s ESG plan to achieve zero emissions by 2050. Additionally, the three new A330neos will strengthen our fleet advantage and provide greater flexibility for passenger operations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>STARLUX Airlines operates an all-Airbus passenger fleet that already includes the A350-900, A330neo and A321neo. The A350F will be operated by STARLUX Cargo on some of the world\u2019s busiest cargo routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incremental order will boost its A330neo fleet from four to seven, with the aircraft featuring a premium two-class cabin comprising 28 business class seats and 269 economy class seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently under development, the A350F can carry a payload of up to 111 tonnes and can fly up to 4,700 nautical miles \/ 8,700 kilometres at significantly lower cost than any other freighter available today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"related-topics\">Related
