LATAM Airlines<\/strong> announced that it will increase the number of flights on 28 routes in Brazil by 20%. Starting in the second quarter of 2024, the company will add 165 weekly flights on these domestic routes connecting 24 Brazilian airports. The increase includes investment in the new Congonhas-Caxias do Sul route, which will be inaugurated in early April with 5 weekly flights, and the resumption of the Vit\u00f3ria-Rio de Janeiro\/Gale\u00e3o route, with 2 daily flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LATAM’s domestic routes with the highest increases in the second quarter of 2024 are R\u00edo de Janeiro\/Santos Dumont-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos (from 125 to 141 weekly flights), Florian\u00f3polis-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos (from 28 to 35 weekly flights), Fortaleza-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos (from 35 to 45 weekly flights), Brasilia-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Congonhas (from 79 to 87 weekly flights), Belo Horizonte\/Confins-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos (from 35 to 42 weekly flights), Vit\u00f3ria-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos (from 28 to 35 weekly flights), Foz do Igua\u00e7u-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos (from 21 to 28 weekly flights), Cuiab\u00e1-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Congonhas (from 7 to 14 weekly flights), Bras\u00edlia-Rio de Janeiro\/Gale\u00e3o (from 14 to 21 weekly flights) and Uberl\u00e2ndia-S\u00e3o Paulo\/Congonhas (from 7 to 11 weekly flights).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The states with the largest increases (excluding S\u00e3o Paulo and the Federal District, where LATAM’s hubs in Brazil are located) are Rio de Janeiro and Esp\u00edrito Santo (both with 21 new weekly flights), Santa Catarina (19 new weekly flights), Minas Gerais and Paran\u00e1 (16 new weekly flights), and Cear\u00e1 (14 new weekly flights).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We continue to strengthen and are committed to helping democratize aviation in Brazil. Increased demand and the sustainability of our operation allow us to increase flights to benefit those who still need to plan their business or leisure travel this year,” commented Aline Mafra, LATAM Brazil’s Director of Sales and Marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, LATAM expects the arrival of more aircraft and a 7% to 9% growth in its domestic operations in Brazil, compared to 2023. In practice, more than 3 million aircraft seats will be added in the country during the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
