Spanish airline Iberia <\/strong>announced Tuesday the launch of the new edition of its cadet program in partnership with the prestigious pilot school FTEJerez (Flight Training Europe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From today until May 15, those interested in becoming pilots can submit their applications through www.ftejerez.com\/iberia.php<\/a>, where they will find details about the requirements and conditions of this program, designed by Iberia to identify the most suitable candidates and provide them with financial support for their training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very pleased to start the fourth edition of this successful program with which we not only promote the profession of pilots among young people, but also help them to finance their training under very advantageous conditions so that they can develop their vocation,” said Rafael Jim\u00e9nez-Hoyos, Iberia’s Production Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once they have completed their studies, the airline’s commitment is to facilitate the incorporation of these cadets into the labor market and to begin repaying Iberia’s contribution to their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, a total of 48 students have participated in the Iberia Cadets program. Of these, Iberia has integrated into its workforce 19 pilots from the first edition and next June 13 more pilots from the second edition will join the program. Furthermore, 16 additional young pilots are currently undergoing training at FTEJerez, who will be joined in the last quarter of 2024 by the eight new candidates selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a close collaboration between Iberia and FTEJerez, candidates are selected to participate in a training program that will allow them to obtain the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), financed approximately 50% interest-free by Iberia. The airline also monitors the trainees’ training, evaluating their performance and progress on a regular basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
