{"id":165501,"date":"2024-05-26T12:30:46","date_gmt":"2024-05-26T12:30:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=165501"},"modified":"2024-05-26T16:03:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-26T16:03:00","slug":"12-people-injured-by-heavy-turbulence-on-qatar-airways-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/05\/12-people-injured-by-heavy-turbulence-on-qatar-airways-flight.html","title":{"rendered":"12 people injured by heavy turbulence on Qatar Airways flight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Six passengers and six crew members were injured in heavy turbulence on a Qatar Airways flight between Doha and Dublin, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13461433\/Emergency-crews-Dublin-airport-turbulence-Qatar-Airways.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">DailyMail<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 12 people were hurt after experiencing turbulence over Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Qatar Airways flight QR017 from Doha landed safely at Dublin Airport shortly before 13.00 on Sunday as scheduled&#8221;, Kevin Cullinane, Deputy Director of Communications at daa, the operator of Dublin Airport said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft was met by emergency services upon landing, including Dublin Airport&#8217;s Police, Fire and Rescue services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/04\/faa-investigates-incident-between-two-aircraft-at-ronald-reagan-washington-airport.html\">FAA investigates incident between two aircraft at Ronald Reagan Washington Airport<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Qatar Airways can confirm that flight QR017 a Boeing B787-9 from Doha to Dublin has landed safely. A small number of passengers and crew sustained minor injuries in flight and are now receiving medical attention&#8221;, A spokesperson for Qatar Airways said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adam Dalton, a game developer was on the flight and described it as &#8216;like a rollercoaster drop&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that it felt like it lasted three to five seconds and food and drink were everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident comes days after a man died, of a heart attack, on a Singapore Airlines flight after experiencing extreme turbulence while flying between London-Heathrow and
