{"id":165621,"date":"2024-05-29T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=165621"},"modified":"2024-05-29T23:08:30","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T23:08:30","slug":"jetblue-to-open-crew-base-in-san-juan-puerto-rico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2024\/05\/jetblue-to-open-crew-base-in-san-juan-puerto-rico.html","title":{"rendered":"JetBlue to open crew base in San Juan, Puerto Rico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>JetBlue<\/strong> Wednesday announced plans to open a pilot and flight attendant crew base at Luis Mu\u00f1oz Mar\u00edn International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, underscoring the airline\u2019s commitment to growth and investment in the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This news comes after the airline recently announced plans to expand service from San Juan to more U.S., Caribbean and Latin American destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new crew base is expected to open in late 2024, providing more than 400 jobs to San Juan by 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/en\/2024\/05\/jetblue-inaugurates-flights-between-new-york-and-edinburgh.html\">Jetblue inaugurates flights between New York and Edinburgh<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, JetBlue employs over 370 crewmembers across Puerto Rico, supporting the airline&#8217;s operations in San Juan, Aguadilla, and Ponce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so excited to base hundreds more crewmembers right here in San Juan, where we are proud to be the largest airline with plans to grow even more,\u201d said Warren Christie, JetBlue\u2019s chief operating officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JetBlue crew bases include Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Newark, New York City, Orlando, and Los Angeles. In 2020, JetBlue added a maintenance base in San Juan for its technicians to provide aircraft maintenance and related services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"related-topics\">Related
